I know, I know, Apple Overnight Oats are nothing new in the vegan community, nevertheless I decided to post the recipe. This is one of my major quick and easy recipes that can easily be changed around and leaves a lot of room for creativity. And it’s just so delicious! Our apple tree this year gifted us once again with way too many apples, so I cooked up a big batch of apple sauce myself, but the store bought apple sauce does just as well.
It’s also my entry for Vegan MoFo Day 18 – a dish that looks like it’s taken in black and white. This was pretty much the best I can do. Same goes for my photography, life has been eventful and time scarce. I’m sure you’ll forgive me. But this is definitely a breakfast for exactly those times – grab and go!
Apple Overnight Oats
3 tablespoon apple sauce
4 tablespoon rolled oats
1,5 tablespoon chia seeds
4 tablespoon almond yogurt
5 tablespoon almond milk
1. Layer all the ingredients in a big jar.
2. Shake or stir and let it soak over night (or at least for an hour).
Note: If you’d like to prepare a few in advance don’t stir until the evening before you want to eat them. You can keep it layered in your fridge for 3 days.
